Landscapes

Landscapes gather together 4 artists with some diverse and interesting techniques on this broad subject, from monochrome drawings to unique collagraph prints, collage throught to more traditional acrylic paint on board. 

Inspiration comes from each artist's immediate locality or, in Leaver Green's case, country of special interest. Studying the tones and topography in front of them, each has employed differing methods of interpretation. Laurie's Devon inspired work on Mylar is detailed, precise and not a little romantic while Chowwai's angular forms from the same part of the country give depth and recession with some industrial forms creeping in. 

Penny meanwhile concentrates on the colour and shade nature provides during each season of the year. Katie's well recognised style takes repeated motifs and builds a montage viewed close up, which creates texture when at a distance.
