Artist focus: Owen Gildersleeve
For the month of September, we focus on paper artist Owen Gildersleeve. Based in Brighton and trained in graphic design, Owen creates beautifully crafted hand-cut works, layering sheets of paper in sweeping gradients of tone for a graphically inspired composition.
For the first time, we'll be showing his latest series at an art fair in NYC this month, a city he already has a following in after being awarded the Homiens Art Prize in 2025, highlighting “luminaries who stand out for their masterful technical skill, innovative use of materials, and ability to provoke deep emotional and intellectual resonance.”
