Anna Boss
Anna is a British landscape artist currently residing in Bristol, where she creates beautifully ethereal, photorealistic paintings that capture the landscape and the ever-changing atmosphere. Anna has studied Fine Art at the University of the West of England, and has sense developed a unique style that softly blends both acrylic and resin into one intriguing medium.
Creating work that mirrors the effects of weather on its natural surroundings - with mysterious, foggy clouds of mist, and moody ocean waves and country pathways - Anna expresses personal journeys and her wish to be in the landscape rather than just simply observing it. With her investigation of the different types of light, weather, and atmospheric conditions she is able to create something original each time. Recreating her discoveries through layers of slow-drying acrylic and epoxy resin, Anna produces a frosted, ghostly effect that matches the mood of her work.
Anna has recently completed at residency at Prussia Cove in Cornwall, where she created and gathered inspiration for her newest series on location by the sea.
