This month we received three captivating new pieces by ceramic artist, Kate Brett. Each piece is part of her 'Fortune Sticks' series, expressing a scroll-like effect with small cylindrical forms that align together, with individual painted patterns of black paint and gold, textured accents.
With Kate's method of incorporating her skills alongside the natural process of working with ceramics, which give way to unplanned shapes, cracks, and colouring, each piece created is totally unique and can be hung both horizontally or vertically.
