Kal Mansur
Kal Mansur is a abstraction artist based in Toronto, Canada. From his time spent at the University of Texas (1990), Kal achieved a BFA in Painting and had been given a key piece of advice which has stayed with him throughout his creative career, 'waste as much paint as you use'. This provided a useful keyframe for the artist as it allowed him to experiment with the idea of abundance and restraint.
This artist’s work incorporates geometric shapes, lines, and vibrant tones of colour with perspex and hand-painted acrylic to create his vision. He aspires to develop conceptual work inspired by different points in his life, and the idea of connecting shared experiences which creates a hybrid creation that merges the surreal and the abstract.
Kal has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in Toronto, LA and New York, and has also collaborated with Tiffany & Co., with work presented in Toronto Metropolitan University and George Brown College.
