Artist focus: KATHLEEN WALSH
With an impressive mix of natural wood and resins, Irish artist Kathleen Walsh fuses together both materials to create smooth, ethereal pots that glow in the natural light.
Through traditional woodturning techniques, the use of a lathe, and carving tools, Kathleen amalgamates different types of wood, including lime, oak, and sycamore, with a chosen colour of resin. As the artist combines both materials, the outcome reflects a satisfying level of harmony.
